Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement the browser's front-end in Electron.js, aligning with our vision of a transformative user experience.
- Collaborate closely with our Chromium and Electron.js Engineers and other technical team members to ensure a seamless integration between UI/UX design and browser functionalities.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to guide your design decisions and to validate the user experience.
- Develop design systems, user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes to effectively communicate design strategies and interactions.
- Stay abreast of the latest UI/UX trends and innovations, specifically as they relate to Electron.js-based applications, to ensure our browser remains cutting-edge and user-friendly.
- Advocate for the user throughout the design and development process, ensuring a user-centered approach to our product.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with front-end frameworks like React or Angular. Knowledge of their integration within an Electron.js environment is a must.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, user-centric design processes, and usability testing.
- Familiarity with modern UI/UX tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and experience designing for Electron.js applications.
- Experience in translating user needs and business requirements into innovative and detailed UI designs.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design concepts and decisions to stakeholders and team members.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills, an ability to reason about prioritization and scope, and a bias for action and fast learning.
- At least 4 hours of overlap with the Eastern Time Zone to facilitate collaboration.
